In the fourth quarter of 2024, personal finance apps in Egypt displayed varied performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the top five applications, with data courtesy of Sensor Tower.

Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker from BudgetBakers experienced a significant surge in weekly downloads, peaking at around 1.9K in the last week of December. Revenue followed a similar upward trajectory, reaching approximately $378 by the end of the quarter. Active users also increased steadily, from 13.7K at the start of October to over 16.2K by the end of December.

Splitwise maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with a slight increase to 351 in the week before Christmas. Weekly revenue showed some fluctuations, peaking at $155 at the beginning of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, wrapping up the year with about 1.1K users.

YNAB saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, reaching 207 by mid-December. Revenue peaked early in the quarter at $163, while active users grew from 139 at the start to 238 by year-end.

Finally, Monefy - Budget & Expenses app saw a notable spike in downloads at 1.1K around Christmas, with revenue peaking at $78 in mid-October. Active users were consistent, ending the quarter slightly below 4K.
